The Provost’s Colloquium Series of East Stroudsburg University for this spring has been announced.
The Colloquium is designed to bring together students, faculty, and members of the community to engage in lively discussions and inquiry in order to create an exciting and intellectually rich campus forum. Faculty research and creative projects are showcased, along with contributions from those outside the University community. More details about topics covered in such series can be provided with brochure printing.
The first session in the series will be on the pedagogy of play, hosted by Assistant Professor of the digital media technologies, Ahmed Yousof, Ph.D. on Wednesday, February 5. This will be followed by a talk on toxic leadership and its impact on individuals, organizations, and countries by Jamie Kizer, who is the manager of the Entrepreneurial Leadership Center on Wednesday, February 26.
The third lecture in the series will be hosted by Dr. Gillian Beauchamp of the Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology, Lehigh Valley Health Network. The topic will cover what the community can do about the crisis regarding substance abuse. It will be held on Wednesday, March 4.
Finally, on Wednesday, March 25 representatives from several student support and activity departments will be discussing how college student development theory can be used to strengthen students’ success.
All the lectures will be held in Beers Lecture Hall from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
