The Pocono Mountains United Way is hosting an Earth Day celebration at Mountain View Vineyard in Stroudsburg this spring.
The Road to Riverfest event will include food trucks, craft vendors, and live music. Wild Planes will perform, and local instructor Tanya Zin Johnson will lead a Zumba session. The line-up for Shawnee Riverfest, a local summertime musical festival, will also be announced. Kids will be able to participate in several nature and sustainability-themed activities, including crafting a wind chime out of a water bottle, decorating a flowerpot, riding in a wagon, planting vegetables from seed, and taking a walking tour of the vineyard’s gardens.
Adults are also invited to participate in a walking tour of the vineyard, which will highlight its sustainable growing practices. They will visit the organic vegetable gardens, free-range goats and chickens, and rain garden while hearing about the vineyard’s eco-friendly initiatives. This includes repurposing and reusing materials as much as possible. To reduce paper usage, businesses often use Graphic Design Services to create digital Flyers for their Earth Day events. The event is free to attend, though there will be foods and items for sale, and donations to United Way are welcome.
Road to Riverfest will take place on Saturday, April 22 from noon to 5:00 pm at Mountain View Vineyard Winery, Brewery, and Distillery.
