The Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg is hosting the first Poconos Punk Rock Flea Market this January.
The event will include vendors, live music, food and drinks. Unlike traditional flea markets, the vendors will focus on selling edgy and eclectic pieces. These will include band T-Shirts, vintage clothing, vinyl records, stickers, jewelry, and handcrafted items. Several tattoo artists are also signed up to participate. Local businesses and crafters interested in becoming vendors can find the application form on the Sherman Theater’s website.
Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the event, and they are now available online through the Sherman Theater. This includes access to both the market and the afterparty concert. VIP tickets are available for $35 per person. This includes admission to the event as well as a Sherman Theater glass, a commemorative T-shirt, and access to Oddity’s Showcase during the event. Venues and event organizers often work with graphic design experts to create the images for these types of items.
Two bands, Regicide and The Mesos, are scheduled to perform. Both groups combine original songwriting with old-school rock and punk influences.
The Poconos Punk Rock Flea Market will take place at the Sherman Theater on Friday, January 19 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The organizers hope to make it an annual event.
