Stroudsburg residents invited to enjoy fun or the farm

A Stroudsburg museum will be hosting an event that will allow children and adults alike to meet the farm residents up close and personal, while raising money to help support the museum at the same time.

The Quiet Valley Farm Animal Frolic will feature a variety of activities for both young and old. There will be baby animals to meet, as well as games, entertainment, and food.

The two workhorses that call the farm home will be on hand, as will Janie the Mule. In the sheep shed, kids will have an opportunity to learn about how wool is processed into yarn, and they will be able to try carding the wool themselves. A frame loom will be on display, and materials will be available to make a craft using either the fleece or felt.

Presentations will be given in the one-room schoolhouse, and both wagon and pony rides will be provided to the public for an additional cost. Poster printing can be used to create signage and other promotional materials for events such as this. These can help to ensure as many people know about it as possible.

All this will take place rain or shine on May 21 and 22, and also May 28 and 29, at the Quiet Valley living Historical Farm. Admission for the event is $8 for adults and $5 for those ages 3-12. Further details can be found on the facility’s website.
