The Monroe Farmers Market will kick off its summer season this May.
The market has been operating in Stroudsburg for more than 40 years. It will be open every Saturday morning from May through October. The market is also open for limited hours during the late fall and winter. Attendees will be able to shop for a variety of foods and other items, including fresh flowers, meat, baked goods, produce, and preserves. Live music will be performed at each market date.
This a producer-only market, which means that all agricultural products, like meat and vegetables, need to be grown in either Monroe County or one of its neighboring counties. For processed items like baked goods, most of the ingredients need to come from local sources.
The market is free to attend, and there are several municipal lots available for parking nearby. The farmers market website offers a map of parking locations. Sellers who produce qualifying items can apply to become vendors on the website as well. Farmers and artisans who sell their products at markets often invest in Logo Design services to give them a distinct brand.
The first market of the summer season will be open on Saturday, May 6, from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon in Courthouse Square, Stroudsburg.
