Stroudsburg farm to show off baby animals

Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm in Stroudsburg is hosting its annual Farm Animal Frolic next month.

The Farm Animal Frolic takes place over two May weekends and allows Stroudsburg residents to see baby animals up close. The animals at the farm will include newly born chicks, lambs, piglets, bunnies, and goats. Other activities at the farm will include traditional games for children and a food tent serving refreshments. Quiet Valley will also have vintage collectibles and spring plants for sale.

Quiet Valley is a living history museum that portrays 19th-Century Pennsylvanian-German agriculture. The farm puts on educational programs that demonstrate the social customs, farming practices, cuisine, and technology that would have been common on a 19th-Century family farm in the area.

Tickets for the spring farm animal event cost $18 per person over the age of 12 and can be purchased at the gate. Tickets are $8 for children ages three to twelve, and free for children under three. Tickets can be purchased in advance on the Quiet Valley website for a discounted rate of $16 per adult. History museums often use poster printing services to promote their special events.

The Farm Animal Frolic will take place on Saturdays May 21 and 28 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sundays May 22 and 29 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm.
