The Pocono Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Committee is hosting an awards event in Stroudsburg this fall.
Dinner will not be provided, but drinks and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served. The event will open with time for networking, and the awards ceremony will begin at 6:30 pm. Chamber members often exchange Business Cards during such networking events.
Two scholarship awards and the Woman in Business Awards will be presented. One scholarship goes to a high school senior to help pay for college. The other goes to a working professional who is planning on enrolling in some type of continuing education.
The Woman in Business Award is designed to recognize a female leader in the region who has shown excellence in her own career and personal life while also supporting other women. Those interested can apply themselves or nominate someone else. Nominations will remain open through October 30. The form is available on the event webpage.
Tickets are available on the Chamber’s website now. The cost is $45 for members and $60 for non-members. Sponsorships are available at several levels and include promotion in both physical and digital materials.
The Women in Business Cocktail and Awards Reception will take place on Tuesday, November 12 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn in Stroudsburg.
