Back in January, ambitious plans from City Center Investment Corp. were greeted with enthusiasm by the Allentown Neighborhood Improvement Zone Development Authority (ANIZDA), and approval was given with little hesitation. However, ANIZDA is now considering imposing guidelines that could constrain the activities of other developers.
Since ANIZDA appears to wants to avoid leaving all the work to private banks, it could choose to contact Stationery printers in Stroudsburg for additional office supplies as it deals with different dimensions of proposals.
ANIZDA Project Review Committee chair Alan Jennings told The Morning Call:
“We have to consider other things, like job creation, the tenants they're bringing in and the design of their building. We have the taxpayer and the community to think about.”
As a result of the activity of ANIZDA, the developers might have to demonstrate they can complete their work effectively. This could involve making time a priority, as well as quality. A Design Review Committee (DRC) is likely to look at how plans fit together.
Members of the DRC have yet to be selected. Nonetheless, it appears that they will be tasked with assessing whether or not developments fit in with a master plan that has been created for the downtown district. Get a Free Quote for Stationery
