New finance director to join university

Ginger Coleman will become the Interim Vice President for Administration and Finance this month at East Stroudsburg University.

Coleman previously worked in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) as Systems Budget Director in the Office of the Chancellor, and will no doubt be making updates to her Business Cards to denote her new position.

Set to be the Chief Financial Officer of the University, Coleman will report directly to Interim President Kenneth Long. Among the operations Coleman will supervise will be campus police and parking, facilities management, the business and student accounts offices, and health and environmental safety.

Having started in the PASSHE as the Manager of Budget Planning and Analysis in 2005, Coleman became Budget Director in 2015. Serving in both roles, she has helped to create of the financial sustainability planning and financial risk assessment tools; assisted with the development of the current tuition policy for the 14 universities in PASSHE; provided support and guidance to all university financial managers in PASSHE; and collaborated in the establishment of an integrated budget planning process, among her many accomplishments.

Coleman attended Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, and Pennsylvania State University Capital College in Middletown where she earned a Master of Business Administration, as well as a Certificate in Public Budgeting.
