The Art on Main festival, presented by the PoconoArts Council, will be taking place in Downtown Stroudsburg next weekend.
The festival will feature live music, dance performances, fine arts, and crafts exhibits. Part of the festival is PoconoArts Squared, which is a marketplace for artists and crafters to sell their works to the general public. Participating artists can rent space in the marketplace for $25.
In addition, the PoconoArts Council members’ exhibition will be running most of the month of May. There will be a reception held for those participating as well as an awards presentation during the Art on Main festival. Categories eligible for awards include acrylic, photography, works on paper, water color, and fine crafts, and there will be awards for first, second, and third place. Winners will have their works displayed at the Eastern Monroe Library Gallery throughout the months of June and July.
Artists and crafters will likely be working with Stroudsburg Print companies to prepare for the festival, perhaps wanting to purchase Banners or Signs to draw attention to their art works.
Art on Main will take place on May 18 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and the PoconoArts reception will be held at the PoconoArts Community Cultural Center from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, during which time the awards will also be handed out.
The members’ exhibition, meanwhile, is running right now from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm each day at the PoconoArts Community Cultural Center until May 25.
