July event brings college visits to students

East Stroudsburg University (ESU) will be visiting prospective students in Pennsylvania, Northern New Jersey, and New York on a tour of 13 stops to meet them during the month of July.

The tour will enable prospective students and their family members to meet members of the staff and students of ESU, and apply for admission to the university. These meetings will take place Tuesday through Thursday throughout the month. The locations were selected based on data indicating where high numbers of students attending ESU come from.

Vice president for enrollment management, Karen Lucas, said that this initiative was designed to introduce the university to interested students where they live, so that more time can be spent answering important questions about admissions, financial aid, and housing. Such meetings provide opportunities for colleges to use printing services to create Brochures and other materials with more information about academics and other areas of interest.

At each location, staff members from Admissions and students will be available from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and 5:00 to 7:00 pm to meet with students and their families. The tour will end on Saturday, July 31 with an event held on campus from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm so that students and their families can have a campus tour and be able to meet with someone from the college, and receive an offer for admission that day.
