The Appalachian Fiddle and Bluegrass Association (AFBA) is presenting its 26th annual Bluegrass Festival in just a couple of days’ time.
Some of the most well-known bluegrass performers in the country will be making their way to the festival. Two stages will be set up for the duration of the festival and will feature performers like Reno and Harrell, Newtown, Louis Setzer and the Appalachian Mountain Boys, The Hillbilly Gypsies, and the Still Hand String Band.
There will also be food and arts and craft vendors selling a variety of items, together with workshops and children's programs. Those who buy a weekend pass have access to free camping and hot showers.
The AFBA holds several annual festivals on this venue. Those attending this event can purchase an annual membership in the organization for $10.
Organizers of this sort of event will try to attract as many visitors from all over the area as possible, including nearby Stroudsburg. Initiatives can include investing in flyer printing services from local companies.
The Bluegrass Festival is being held at Mountain View Park in Wind Gap from July 31 to August 3. Weekend passes are $70 for adults and $20 for young people; daily fees vary from $10 up to $25 for adults and youngsters always pay $10. Children are admitted free with the purchase of an adult ticket. For more information, call 610-838-3015.
