College students in Stroudsburg to collect for those in need

Donations for Street2Feet, a homeless day center in Stroudsburg, are being collected by the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) at East Stroudsburg University. Among the donations being requested are healthy snacks, cleaning supplies, and toiletries.

Poster printing is often used around such campuses to promote drives and their efforts to help a worthy cause.

The Street2Feet Outreach Center offers laundry, showers, and health services as well as case management and vocational support to the homeless population of Monroe County. It is opened during the week from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. and on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The center is a Division of Resources for Human Development Inc.

The NRHH is an organization that advocates for the welfare and interests of students living in residence halls and provides opportunities for their development and growth. Under the auspices of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Inc., member chapters can grow and advance through programming, resource sharing, and leadership development opportunities.

The desk worker at Sycamore Suites will be accepting the donations which can be made until Sunday, March 22. On that day, the NRHH will meet in Lenape Hall at 2:00 pm to pack sandwiches and collect the items and bring them to Street2Feet. Members of the community and students are welcome to join this event.
