Annual jazz festival expects full house

The 4th annual Zoot Fest is taking place this November in Stroudsburg. It is a festival that honors the legacy of local jazz musicians Al Cohn and Zoot Sims. This popular event is expected to sell out quickly.

The festival is set to feature an afternoon filled with jazz music, discussions about jazz, a buffet (featuring drinks and dessert), and musical performances. Bill Dobbins will lead an open panel discussion on the influence of Cohn and Sims, the history of jazz and its many incarnations, and other jazz musicians who are keeping the music alive.

Musical guests who have been confirmed for this year's festival include the Patrick McGee Group and Bill Goodwin. There will also be tribute performances of the music of both Zoot Sims and Al Cohn.

Jazz fans from all over Pennsylvania will no doubt be interested in attending this popular event in Stroudsburg. Stationery printers in the area may be asked to provide advertising, Invitations, or Flyers to be sent out to members of the public.

Zoot Fest will be held at the East Stroudsburg University's Innovation Center on November 9 from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Tickets are $50 or $25 for students carrying proper ID (this fee does not include the entire day’s events). Call 570-422-3828 to find out more about the acts performing and the festival itself.
