The 40th annual Quiet Valley's Harvest Festival will be taking place over two days this October. The theme of this year's event is ‘Celebrating Penn's Woods’.
Visitors will be treated to demonstrations of traditional skills and crafts such as spinning, making brooms, and dyeing yarn. There will be folk entertainment and plenty of food for purchase. Children’s activities will include pony and horse-drawn wagon rides, pumpkin decorating crafts, and Cliff Sunflower presenting ‘Dancing with the Honey Bees’.
There will also be a Civil War encampment populated by members of 142nd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Co. G. Visitors will have to chance to see what life was like for soldiers and their families during the war. Another group who will be visiting will be the French and Indian War Guard of New Jersey.
Stroudsburg printing companies are often asked by organizers of such events to provide advertising materials such as Flyers. These can then be distributed in the community by a variety of methods, including by hand in the run-up to the event.
The Harvest Festival is being held at Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm from October 11 to 12 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Tickets are $10 or $5 for those aged 3 to 12, while younger children are admitted free of charge. Contact the farm at 570-992-6161 to learn more about the day's events.Get a Free Quote for Flyers
