Upcoming tasting will help to fight cancer

Pour for a Cure is returning to Pittsburgh next month. It will be a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the goal for this year is to raise $35,000.

Attendance is limited to only 350 guests. There will be craft beer tastings and appetizers provided by area restaurants. There is also set to be an auction, and DJ Mike Ley will entertain throughout the evening.

Sponsorships are available from $250 up to $5,000; sponsors also could supply food in lieu of payment, although those sponsorships are now sold out. Those contributing will be recognized in all event signage and advertising.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society invests in research for these two blood cancers, as well as providing information and help to patients and their families.

Organizers of charity events such as this work with Pittsburgh printing services to create signage to honor their sponsors and spread work in the community.

Pour for a Cure will be held at the US Steel Tower on January 22 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Admission is $60 until January 10 and $75 after or $25 for a designated driver. Each paid guest will receive a wristband so they can sample the craft beers.
