This April will see a pair fundraising events taking place in Pittsburgh for two charities.
The first event taking place is the 8th annual Brewers’ Ball. This is a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Western PA Chapter. A number of local microbreweries will be providing samples of their beverages. In addition, several area restaurants and caterers will be hosting tasting stations. With a silent auction and entertainment also planned, tickets are $75 in advance or $85 at the door, while VIP tickets are $100.
A couple of days later, the 8th annual Irene's Dream Luncheon will occur. This event will help to raise funds for the Bartko Foundation, which helps minority women become self-sufficient. It will consist of boutique shopping for items such as jewelry and housewares, followed by lunch. Several clients of the Foundation will be sharing their success stories. Tickets cost $50 each or $300 for a table of eight.
