The 6th annual Healthy Pet Day is being held this May in McCandless, hosted by Healthy Pet Products.
There will be plenty of activities for pet lovers at what will be partly a pet expo, and partly a customer appreciation event for the Healthy Pet Products store.
There are set to be seminars on topics such as aging pets and flea and tick prevention. Those who wish to attend are advised to pre-register, and will receive a free freezer bag if they do. There will be demonstrations by search and rescue dogs and K-9 police units, a photo booth, and a basket raffle to benefit local rescue organizations.
Local vendors will also be on hand to sell a variety of pet-related merchandise and to give away free promotional items such as pet treats. In addition, several adoptable pets will be looking for their new owners. The store will also be having special deals on selected merchandise.
Those attending are asked to bring items such as towels, pet food, and blankets to be donated to area animal shelters. To advertise this annual event to nearby communities such as Pittsburgh, organizers may invest in flyer printing services.
