The Biz-ed Blitz is taking place next month in Pittsburgh. It is presented by ASSET STEM Education.
The aim of this event is to get business leaders and educators talking about how to improve education in order to have a better drilled labor force in the future. There is currently a waiting list for educators to participate, but still room for more business leaders.
The day will start off with an informal networking opportunity. It will then be followed by opening remarks that will be delivered by Ted Frick of Covestro and Ken Lockette of the Avonworth School District.
Next, participants will take part in a speed networking session in which people spend a certain amount of time (usually about 5 or 10 minutes) talking one person before moving on to the next. This will be followed by a break and then more informal networking.
While this is a free event, ASSET STEM Education will accept donations to help support its various programs, such as robotics summer camps.
It is very likely that most of those planning to attend this Pittsburgh event will be placing a new business card printing order in advance.
The Biz-Ed Blitz will be held at Google on April 7 from 5:00 - 7:30 PM. To find out more about this event, call 412-481-7320.
