A Pittsburgh venue that is home to some special pink residents will be putting these fine feathered friends in the spotlight this February, with two days filled with flamingos and fun.
The National Aviary has invited one and all to stop by at its annual Flamingofest, and the whole family is welcome. These pink birds will be the stars of the show, and there will be special activities on offer in honor of the occasion.
Entry to the festival is included with aviary admission, and it will provide the public with an opportunity to learn more about flamingos, their ecology and what gives them their bright color. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite pink outfit, and there will be lots of themed activities to enjoy.
Along with general admission to Flamigofest, the artists in the crowd will be able to paint their very own flamingo-themed piece. This will be offered on Saturday, and admission is included in the ticket price. Many venues offer the public an opportunity to be part of special events like this, and a poster printing company can help to get the word out.
The team at Pittsburgh’s National Aviary will soon be rolling out the pink carpet for this celebration of some of its resident feathered friends. Flamingofest is scheduled for February 24th and 25th.
