Pittsburgh residents get the chance to help Girls Hope

The 20th annual Hearts and Hopes is set to raise funds for Girls Hope - an organization that provides services and programs for girls between the ages of 10-18 who are considered to be at risk. It promotes self-esteem, confidence, and academic achievement. It also provides two family-like homes for up to 16 girls while they are attending college.

The event is presented by Girls Hope of Pittsburgh. Those attending will receive four drink tickets and plenty of hors d'oeuvres. There will also be a silent auction, musical entertainment, and dancing. It should be a fun way to help raise money for such a worthwhile cause.

It's likely that the auction items will be donated by Pittsburgh companies. They can work with their local printing company to design and create a flyer to let their customers know they care about the future of their community; the flyer can then be easily be distributed throughout the city in a variety of ways. Flyers are reasonably inexpensive and are among the most effective Forms of advertising. This serves as a way for a company to effectively encourage more people to attend the event and make a contribution.

The Hearts and Hopes event will take place at the Whim Social Club on February 1. Tickets are $35 in advance or $50 at the door, and this is an aged 21 and over event. For more information call Girls Hope of Pittsburgh at 724-869-2868.
