Pittsburgh plans cheesey evening

Originating in Switzerland, cheese fondues have become popular all over the world, and a Pittsburgh shop will be hosting one of these communal dining events.

The crew at Chantal’s Cheese Shop has set the date for a February cheese fondue, and the tables can accommodate four guests with one fondue pot set up on each. Its listing pointed out that this tradition goes back hundreds of years, and the recipe use originated in France.

The class has enough room for 12 attendees, and an alcohol free option may be available upon advance request. The ticket holders will help to prepare the fondue to share, and there will be lots of laughter while they do. The registration fee for the evening is $60.00, and additional taxes and fees may be applied at the time of purchase. As a special bonus, the participants will receive a discount on any items they purchase at the venue on the day of the event.

An introductory workshop can be a fun way for foodies to expand their palate, and they may also be a lot of fun. Printed recipes, aprons printed with a special graphic design and other items can be ordered for a small business from area printing services companies.

This chance for Pittsburgh gourmands to get a bit “cheesy” will be on offer on February 15th. It will run from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and the shop can be found at 4402 Penn Avenue Pittsburgh.
