Pittsburgh fundraiser to take aim at CF

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects more than 30,000 Americans, and a Pittsburgh fundraiser will help fund a cure.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be the charity of choice for the “Brewing up a Cure” fundraising event, and so far, this annual function has raised more than $325,000 for the cause. It will blend beer and food with auctions and other entertainment to create an experience the organizers hope will be fun for all the ticket holders, featuring craft beer, home brews, and other offerings not available elsewhere.

Those who attend the festivities will be treated to a selection of over 100 beers, ales, meads and ciders, and many of these will be special home blends. Locally brewed craft beers will also be on the list, and while the attendees enjoy sampling what’s on offer, they can have a bite to eat, bid on items in the auction, and simply have fun.

The planners of this annual fundraiser have selected a new venue for the celebration – the Energy Innovation Center. Flyers can be a powerful promotional tool for this sort of event, and a flyer printing company can both design and Print this sort of item.

This years “Brewing Up a Cure” will be welcoming Pittsburgh’s beer lovers on October 24. Tickets and on sale now, and the organizers are also welcoming applications from breweries that would like to get involved.
