Pittsburgh bird spotters who would like to add some new “lifers” to their list may be interested in being part of an excursion that will allow them to observe their fine feathered friends from a whole new perspective.
The National Aviary offers an assortment of initiatives that both protect birds and raise public awareness about the threats they face, and it has teamed up with L.L. Bean to visit some local birding hot spots from out on the water. As these kayak excursions include basic instruction, they may be a good choice for the beginner, and binoculars will be supplied.
Once everyone has arrived, the session will kick off with sharing kayaking tips and techniques, and after this, it will be time to take to the water. All of the equipment will be supplied, and the monies raised will help to protect birds and their habitats all around the world. The activity is limited to those age eight and up.
Stationery printers will be able to take care of the business side of any occasion like this by preparing Letterheads, waivers, and other customized documents.
The reservation system for this Pittsburgh birding excursion is now open, and it will take place on September 19. The ticket price is $75 per person, and the function will take place at North Park Lake.
