An event that will give a sneak peek behind the doors of an avian vet is one the agenda for Pittsburgh’s National Aviary.
As the ‘Aviary Behind the Scenes: Veterinary Hospital; session will be offered online, everyone who takes part will be welcome to enjoy the experience from the comfort of their own home. This virtual activity will bring the public into the veterinarian’s office, and here, they will learn about the specialized care it provides to ill and injured birds. A visit to the area where older and special needs feathered friends can find refuge will also take place, and the participants will learn about how it cares for these special patients.
Along with the visit to the in-patient care area, the group will find out about the medical care it gives to feathered friends who have become ill or are injured. They will see how X-rays are taken, bandages applied, and other treatment given, and they will learn about what makes the facility special.
