Pittsburgh is home to the National Aviary, and this popular venue has an event in the works that will be filled with feathery themed fun.
The venue has set the date for its annual Flamingo Fest, which will feature two days of learning, crafting, and other activities. These well-loved, bright pink birds will be the stars of the show, and entry is included with the general admission price.
This event will see individuals and families alike making flamingo themed crafts, and subject matter experts will be sharing their knowledge with the crowd. The National Aviary’s own flock of resident flamingos will be on hand to meet the visitors, and tickets for the “Brushes & Birds” painting session may be reserved separately. This special activity will be led by Maria DeSimone Prasck. Passes for this hands-on activity are $45.00 for non-members and $40.00 for Aviary members.
Not-for-profit organizations that host special events for the public may opt to order custom decor from their local printing services company. Their graphic design team can craft everything from a logo to a fun mascot character.
The National Aviary in Pittsburgh will be hosting Flamingo Fest on February 22 and 23. Both days will run from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. Brushes and Birds will be on offer on February 23. Tickets for this portion of the festivities may be reserved through the venue’s website.
