Pittsburgh aviary offers high-flying holiday fun

A Pittsburgh venue focused on ornithology is set to offer the public a chance to enjoy some special holiday fun, and the whole family is welcome.

The National Aviary will be open into the evening hours for the venue’s Holiday Late Nights Program. The public can view an assortment of birds in lush habitats that recreate their wild homes, and there will be special holiday décor, as well as activities offered during the winter holiday season.

Guests will be able to purchase hot cider or cocoa, and there will be food available as well, which has been prepared by Atria's Specialty Catering. The adults can sip on holiday cocktails from the cash bar.

There are four evenings on the program’s schedule, and each will have its own activity. The first will be gingerbread house building, while the others offer a dance performance, a holiday trivia session, and a paint night. The price for these is included with the general admission tickets to the venue.

Organizations that have an environmental focus often want to educate the public, and hosting special themed activities provides a fun way for them to do this. Learning materials for an event can be crafted by an area printing services company.

The National Aviary will be hosting these evenings of high-flying fun from December 26 to 29. They will all run from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
