While Pittsburgh's adults may feel like they have left their summer camp days well in the rear view mirror, a local activity will offer them a taste of such an experience.
The National Aviary has invited local grown-up bird nerds to be part of its summer camp for adults. There are two sessions available, and they will both be on offer on Saturdays in mid-August. The fee to take part is $150 each.
Those who sign up to be part of one of the days will be invited to go behind the scenes while they learn more about the 500 birds and other charges the organization cares for. They will meet animal ambassadors, prepare enrichment materials, and discover how it is participating in international projects. Crafts and a boxed lunch are included as well. The food will be prepared by Atria’s.
Whether they are for kids or adults, many summer camps offer the campers T-Shirts of other gear printed with a specially prepared graphic design. A printing services company will be happy to lend a hand with this.
Pittsburgh’s National Aviary has scheduled its summer camp days for adults for August 12 and 19. It is expected that the spaces will fill up quickly, and more details for those who are interested can be found on the Aviary’s website.
