The annual First Night Pittsburgh is taking place this New Year's Eve, presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
The emphasis of this celebration is the arts and visitors will find plenty of related activities and performances throughout the night.
There will be live music from acts like Noel Quintana and the Latin Crew, the Marc Lucas Quartet, and Keburgh. There will be dance, theater, and comedy performances, hands-on activities, ice sculptures, appearances by the Pittsburgh Pirate, and performances from the Josh and Gab Show and Steel Town Fire. The First Night Food Trucks will be on hand to provide a variety of food choices. One of the highlights of the evening will be the parade of giant puppets.
The Holiday Artists Market, presented by the Craftsman's Guild of Pittsburgh will give people the opportunity to pick up an original, handmade item.

First Night Pittsburgh is taking place in the Cultural District on December 31 from 6:00 PM to midnight.
