Kickoff planned for another Pittsburgh boating season

The Allegheny River Locks play an important role for local boaters, and a Pittsburgh area event will help to keep them open.

The day will help to kick off another season for those who love to spend their time out on the water, and it will be a chance for the area’s boating community to join together.

Plans for the Sixth Annual Lock Kickoff includes a schedule filled with food, friends and fun, and tickets are $50. The Allegheny River Development Corporation (ARDC), which will be hosting the function, is hoping the area will show strong support for the celebration.

Guests who attend the function will be treated to dinner, and since a DJ will be spinning tunes, they can also take a spin on the dance floor. Raffles and a Chinese auction are also on the agenda.

To help maximize the impact of this fundraiser, the ARDC has invited ticket holders to stop by the merchandise table that will be set up during the function. Here, they can find a variety of Corporate Gifts that have been printed with the group's Logo Design, and memberships will also be available.

Futule’s Harmar House, which is located in Cheswick, will be welcoming the boating community fort his special occasion on March 7. All are welcome, and corporate sponsorships may be available.
