Fundraiser shows the importance of art in the community

The Out of Hand! Benefit is taking place next month in Pittsburgh. It is a fundraiser for the Society for Contemporary Craft.

The event is themed around magic, and organizers promise lots of surprises. Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails and local food samples. There will be hands-on art stations, artistic demonstrations, and an online silent auction. Musical entertainment will be provided by such artists as The Clock Reads. The suggested attire for the evening is something handmade or handed down, so guests are invited to use their creativity.

Proceeds from this event go to support the free art exhibitions, arts education, and other programming for the general public provided by the Society for Contemporary Craft. Fees for sponsorship are $828 or $1,035, which will help to pay for the food, drinks and activities.

Pittsburgh art enthusiasts will likely be interested in hearing about this fundraising event. To help spread the word, organizers are likely to have purchased flyer or poster printing services.

The Out of Hand! Benefit will be held at the Society for Contemporary Craft on April 2 from 7:00 to 11:00 pm. Tickets are $207 for individual and $362 for VIP patron. Tickets for the young professionals’ late night party, which will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 pm, are $62 each or $104 for a couple.
