Annual arts festival returns to Pittsburgh this June

The Three Rivers Arts Festival is returning to the city this June for 10 days, presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.

This is a performing and visual arts festival that will be held at various venues in the city, including Point State Park, Gateway Center, and the Cultural District.

The juried artist market is expected to feature more than 350 artisans from all over the United States who will be selling a variety of handmade, unique items. There will also be a visual art exhibition taking place at the Trust Arts Education Center that is set to include regional artists, and visitors will be able to vote for the People's Choice Award.

Musical performances taking place during the festival are set to include artists such as Michael Franti and Spearhead, the David Grisman Sextet, Ibeyi, and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Other activities include a cell phone disco at the Information Lab, theater performances, and art installations. The Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse will be hosting some children's activities.

To let the public know that specific venues in Pittsburgh are participating, organizers may invest in Banners that can be displayed outside.
