Hanover attends fundraiser for horse-led therapy program

A Hanover area program that uses the gentle nature of horses to provide help and healing will benefit from a gala affair later this month.

The Shining Stars Therapeutic Riding Program is the charity of choice for the Unbridled Taste celebration that will give local foodies plenty to catch their interest. It will be hosted at the program’s new facility, which is a 60-acre farm in Gettysburg, and the guests will be among the first to tour the venue. The program supports veterans, seniors, special needs children, and others in need of equine therapy.

The function will feature a choice of pours of vino from Napa Valley’s Pahlmeyer Winery. These will be served alongside an assortment of bites prepared by some of the area's top chefs. A wine pull, live music, bourbon tasting, and an auction for Corporate Gifts and experiences donated by the members of the local business community are al on the agenda. There will be therapy horses to meet as well.

Many fundraisers also serve as awareness raisers, and brochure printing programs can prepare programs that offer more details about the cause. These can include photos, information, and exposure for the activity’s sponsors.

Unbridled Taste will be on Saturday, September 19 at 1225 Bon Ox Road, Gettysburg. Tickets are $125.
