Hanover workshop offers intro to mead making

Mead, which is made from honey and other ingredients, is a fermented beverage with a long history, and those who register for a Hanover class will learn how to prepare it at home.

The Mead Making Workshop will bring this historical beverage into the 21st century, and Dawg Gone Bees will be the venue for the function. The organizers have requested RSVPs so they can ensure there will be enough supplies for all, and the registration fee is $75.00.

The two hour activity will be led by experts in the art of mead making, and everyone will be able to experiment with a variety of flavor profiles. They will learn how the fermentation process transforms honey into a unique style of wine, and it may be of interest both to those new to the beverage and experienced mead fans alike. Only a limited number of seats are available in the session.

Meaderies, wineries and other venues that produce fermented beverages may choose to offer workshops to the public. Custom Drinkware is often used during these activities, and can be prepared by local companies that craft bespoke Corporate Gifts for their clients.

This introduction to the art and science of mean making will run from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on December 20th. It will be on offer at 7 Center Square in Hanover.
