Skinny Water partners with the JDRF

Skinny Nutritional Corp, located in Bala Cynwyd, announced on April 6 that they are partnering with the JDRF for one year. They will add support to 12 JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes events throughout the United States providing over 50,000 bottles of the product at hydration stations, providing samples of Skinny Water products and offering promotional items. Skinny Water is “zero-calorie, zero-sugar enhanced water” which comes in seven flavours such as Pink Berry Citrus and Lemonade Passionfruit.

The JDRF, formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, raises funds to fight Type 1 Diabetes and advocates for those who are suffering from the disease. Since it’s inception over 40 years ago, the JDRF has donated over $1.6 billion to Diabetes research; 80% of all donations go toward research. According to Yvonne Miller of the JDRF:

"We recognize Skinny Nutritional Corporation's focus on health, fitness and community, and we thank them for their generosity and support in our mission to find better treatments and cures for type 1 diabetes."

Over 30,000 adults and children are diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes each year. The Walk to Cure Diabetes “is fun for families and builds camaraderie among company employees. Above all, it's an event you will feel good about being a part of!” Many companies form teams to take part in the walk, thus earning more money for the cause. Local printing companies from places such as Bala Cynwyd can help by providing t-shirt so everyone will know they are part of a team and to help with team morale.
