Local cemetery goes to the dogs for a day

Later this month, West Laurel Hill Cemetery is hosting a benefit for PACT for Animals, called ‘Woof, Wag & Walk’.

This is an annual event and includes a

Pet Partners Fair that draws a variety of pet-centric vendors. This year, West Laurel Hill Cemetery is going to welcome a new vendor: Gentle Approach Dog Training.

People with and without their dogs are invited to browse the available selection of vendors at the Bala Cynwyd cemetery and learn more about PACT for Animals, as well as simply stroll the grounds of the historic landmark.

West Laurel Hill Cemetery dates back to the 1860s, during which time when cemetery locations were chosen for their natural beauty. The landscaped grounds contain not only a 187-acre arboretum, but a sculpture garden as well.

Vendors, the PACT, and the cemetery itself could benefit from the services of a professional printing company to supply them with handouts for attendees.

A guided tour will be available highlighting the burial plot of some of the cemetery’s most famous ‘residents’. Prizes will be available on the day as well, together with a selection of items donated by Braxton’s Animal Works; one of the companies supporting the event.

Wolf, Wag and Walk takes place on Saturday, September 13 at 9:00 am. The tour starts off from the Conservatory an hour later.
