Bala Cynwyd set to celebrate Pajama Day

When Bala Cyndwyd kids are ill or injured, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is ready to help, and the local area has been asked to return the favor.

The hospital has planned its Pajama Day fundraiser, and area schools, community groups and businesses are all encouraged to participate. While a date has been suggested, people are welcome to take part on any day they wish.

Each group that would like to get involved is asked to register their celebration for a date that works for them, and they can then sign up through the hospital’s website. Once they do, they will receive stickers that boast a whimsical graphic design, and these can be given to everyone who makes a donation to wear their comfortable PJs for the day. The contributions can then be gathered and forwarded to the institution, which will use them to support its programming and other services it offers to area kids.

To help maximize the impact of the day, the planners have created a variety of tools, including online fundraising pages. They have also created an assortment of ideas for making the Pajama Day activities even more fun.

The organizers of this communitywide event have suggested hosting events on December 4. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia website can be consulted for more details about the initiative.
