Bala Cynwyd session to work with preserved botanicals

While many people may think of flowers as a fresh bouquet, they can be used in other ways as well, as a Bala Cynwyd area sip and craft event next month will show.

The social room at Tower 3 at Towers at Wyncote will be hosting a workshop that uses preserved flowers and other botanicals. There are several species, such as strawflowers, that can be used to prepare a dried flower arrangement, and these will be included in the project.

Carrie Beaton will serve as the facilitator for the activity, and full instruction will be provided. The group will be working with dried flowers, plants, and jute twine, and these will be utilized to create a work of art contained in a metal hoop that can be hung for display. Attendees are welcome to bring along some snacks and a bottle of wine or other beverage if they wish.

Learning a new crafting technique can be a fun way to spend a late winter evening. A flyer printing company will be able to work with the organizers of such an event to provide them with marking materials that are both effective and budget friendly.

Tickets for this in-person activity are on offer now for $55 per person. It will begin at 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 22.
