Retirees in Bala Cynwyd will soon be able to prove that, despite the popular saying, you can teach an old dog new tricks.
The DelVal Center for Learning in Retirement (CLR) has prepared a schedule of courses that can be accessed online, and there will be dozens of options to choose from. All that is needed to participate is a computer or tablet with internet access and an email account.
The courses that are set to be on offer range from those related to hobbies to personal development, science and many others, and there will even be meet and greets and other virtual gatherings. They will be delivered through both live and prerecorded instruction, and the Zoom platform will be used. The public is invited to register for as many classes as they wish. Such classes can be a fun way to learn and meet new people.
Even though the workshops and classes will be offered online, such classes can still benefit from real world marketing. A poster printing company can prepare many types of promotional materials that can be used for events like this.
