Bala Cynwyd invited to evening at Mutter Museum

The movie ‘Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ is considered to be a classic from the era of silent films, and the Mutter Museum will be presenting a special screening of this well-known picture, but with a twist.

Based on the book by Robert Louis Stevenson, the movie tells the story of a scientist whose research raises questions about morality and scientific ethics. When Bala Cynwyd residents arrive for the screening, they will be welcome to browse through the museum's exhibits and stop by the cash bar. Complementary pretzels will be passed, and at 6:45 pm, the evening’s programming will begin.

A new musical score has been created by ‘Not so Silent Cinema’ to accompany the film. Along with the movie, there will be a lecture and discussion about the ethics involved in medical experimentation. Those who are hearing impaired or who may need other accommodations can make their request for these adaptations to msellers@collegeofphysicians.org.

An event like this can draw a large crowd and stimulate conversation. Well-placed, eye-catching Posters can help to let the public know that it has been planned, and these can be designed by in a variety of styles by a poster printing company.

Mutter Museum will be welcoming guests for this special movie night on April 25, beginning at 5:30 pm. Both its members and the general public are welcome.
