Bala Cynwyd fundraiser to take aim at OCD

An event that will welcome both neurotypicals and the neurodivergent will raise funds for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) support and services, and its scheduled for Bala Cynwyd this fall.

This year, the 1 Million Steps 4 OCD will take place in Cynwyd Station Park, and both in-person and virtual versions have been created. Those who would like to get involved will be able to choose from creating a team or joining an existing one, and they will also be able to access options online.

The participants in the fundraiser will walk the Cynwyd Heritage Trail, and onsite parking is available. Everyone who registers for the in-person activity is asked to check in at the registration kiosk, and T-Shirts that sport a graphic design prepared for the occasion will be distributed to each registrant. The organizers are hoping to raise at least $3,200, and with the support of the community, they may be able to do so.

The success of an event like this often depends, in part, on how well it is promoted throughout the area. A banner printing company will be able to help by creating signage, Banners and other awareness raising items.

This chance to do a good turn for community members living with OCD will take to the trials on October 23. All ages are welcome to register for the day.
