Whether for personal or professional reasons, knowing first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can be a valuable asset, and an upcoming Bala Cynwyd session will teach these skills to the public.
A workshop that will teach the fundamentals of first aid and CPR is on offer, and the methods taught are approved by the American Red Cross. Those who complete the training will receive their certification, and there will be two different learning options to choose from.
The students will learn different techniques for stopping bleeding, treating burns, and how to recognize the Signs of a stroke. The steps to take should someone be experiencing an allergic reaction will be taught, and the learners will find out how to use an automated external defibrillator and perform CPR when appropriate. Masks are required, and everyone will be asked to follow social distancing protocols.
To help accommodate as many as possible, both online and in-person classes will be offered, and those who complete the session online will be able to book an in-person test time. Training manuals and other learning materials for this sort of function are some examples of what can be ordered from local Print shops
The date for this opportunity to learn some lifesaving skills will be March 18, and the in-person session will be hosted at Two Bala Plaza. Instructions for registering for the online version can be found on its online listing.
