Bala Cynwyd celebration to offer high-flying fun

As the birds head back to the Bala Cynwyd area after a long winter, local families will be bidding them a warm welcome.

An activity that will combine fun, literacy, and learning has been planned for Villanova's Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden, and it will be all about the feathered members of their neighborhood. Part of the Community Read Initiative, it is being offered thanks to assistance from Longwood Gardens.

The activity will introduce youngsters to environmental stewardship, and along with hearing this year's featured works, which will be “Ruby’s Birds”, the group will be led on a short guided walk to hopefully meet some in person. Social distancing and mask wearing will be required, and advanced registration is also mandatory. The children’s tickets are $54 each, and while adults may attend free of charge, they are invited to purchase a Natural Land’s Membership should they wish to do so.

Hosting a public function like this gives a garden or other site an engaging way to introduce itself and what it has to offer the community. A flyer printing company will have a variety of ways on offer to help promote it throughout the local area.

Families are invited to fly in to Stoneleigh on April 13 for this special celebration. It has been scheduled to begin at 10:00 am.
