This month, children from Bala Cynwyd and the surrounding area will have a chance to make their big break.
A production of ‘The Lion King KIDS’ is scheduled to take place over the next few days. The show is produced by Wolf Performing Arts Center in Bryn Mawr and will be performed on the stage of the Rotwitt Theater at Rosemont College.
‘The Lion King KIDS’ is a little different to most productions of the Disney show. For one thing, the cast is made up of students in grades three through five. For another thing, there are actually four casts and more than 130 actors who will appear on stage during the productions. The student actors come from more than 30 schools in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Organizations that produce plays for students and their families can use printing services to spread the word about the production, and to help sell tickets.
‘The Lion King KIDS’ will run for five nights and a total of eight performances. Each of the four casts will get to perform the musical twice. The musical is directed by Will Connell, music directed by Amy Brower and David Snyder, and choreographed by Janine Merolla and Laura Barron.
Performances start tomorrow, December 5, and run through Sunday, December 9. Tickets are $10.
