What's Happening in Ambler, PA…

The 4th Annual Ambler Bike Race, organized by Zen Masters Racing, takes place next month.

The August bike race has a limited number of openings, and registration will continue until none remain. The field limits vary from 30-75 participants depending on the racing category. The categories include men and women’s groups, racers over 55, and three levels for children. The course runs through downtown Ambler for 1.04 miles, starting at the Ambler Theatre, with five turns in the course.

Registration is free for children and $39 per adult. Adults that wish to race in more than one category will pay $10 for each added race. The registration fee on the day of the event is $49 per adult. Prizes include medals for all children in the competition and cash prizes split between the top 5-10 racers in each category range from $300 to $1,500. Cash prizes may drop if registration is too low in a category. Additional prizes and giveaways include racing gear, beer, and much more.

Registration on the day of the event is at the Ambler Theater, located at 108 East Butler Avenue. The first races begin at 8:00 am on August 19 and the last race will take off at 4:00 pm.
