Ambler Chamber to compete in cooking fundraiser

The Greater Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a cooking competition to support its nonprofit members this summer.

Volunteer chefs will compete to cook the best dishes, and attendees can vote for their favorites. There will also be time for networking, a 50/50 raffle and other raffles. All proceeds will support the Chamber’s nonprofit members. Organizers often work with Print shops to create Signs to label different dishes at this type of event.

The five featured nonprofits are Angel Flight East, Partnership for Transportation, The Brave Little Bears Foundation, The North Penn School District Education Foundation and the Rotary Club of North Penn. These are all local organizations that perform a variety of services for the community. For example, the Brave Little Bears Foundation provides grants to help children with developmental disabilities access therapies and recreation programs, and Partnership for Transportation promotes alternatives to driving through advocacy, partnerships and education.

Tickets are available on the Chamber’s website for $50 per person. Both Chamber members and guests are welcome. The Greater Montgomery County Chamber’s members include business owners and professionals from Ambler and other towns in the area. Businesses interested in sponsoring the event can contact the Chamber by email.

Cooking for a Cause will be on Thursday, July 9, from 5 pm to 8 pm, at Volpe Enterprises in North Wales.
