Oktoberfest celebrated in Ambler

For the 27th year, Ambler Main Street will hold its family-friendly Oktoberfest gathering.

Butler Avenue in downtown Ambler will be the location for a fun event that promises to have something to please everyone in the family. The event includes live music on two stages, kids rides, and many other activities for children. Food vendors and food trucks, samples from local eateries, and a beer garden will also be available.

The organizers expect there to be over 90 vendors in attendance with many offering Promotional Products, handcrafted items, and original artworks. Businesses in the downtown area will be open and many will offer specials throughout the day.

Ambler Main Street is a nonprofit group that arranges many local events throughout the year to help increase interest in downtown Ambler. Its goal is to draw attention to the many local businesses found in this part of the town. The group began in the 1990s and consists of residents and business owners that volunteer their time for the cause. The group funds itself through its events, as well as through memberships and donations from the community.

Oktoberfest will be held on October 6 from 11:00am to 6:00pm on Butler Avenue in downtown Ambler. Everyone is welcome and there is no admission fee to attend or watch the performances. Butler Street is closed to traffic during the event, but parking is available throughout the downtown area.
