Ambler will celebrate multiple traditional fall holidays in October through Ambler Main Street.
The town will celebrate 29 years of Oktoberfest as an annual tradition. It is free to attend. Families can enjoy food and activities hosted by restaurants and other companies throughout the day. More than 10 food trucks and 90 vendors will set up on and around Butler Avenue. Two stages will showcase live music. There will be rides and craft opportunities for children and a beer garden for adults. Restaurants will offer samples of their menu while other businesses will offer sales and specials.
Later in the month, there will be a Halloween celebration with a parade. Families can dress in costumes while trick-or-treating, creating jack-o-lanterns, enjoying candy and other refreshments, watching performances, and participating in other activities local businesses have set up.
Most of the excitement will take place in the lobby of the Ambler Theater at 108 East Butler Avenue. Guests can stay in the theater and enjoy food and activities or can participate in the parade and stroll to businesses passing out candy. There will be several awards for costumes in multiple categories throughout the event. Corporate Gifts from sponsoring businesses can act as trophies for costume contest winners.
Oktoberfest 2020 is on October 3 11am-6pm. The parade and surrounding festivities will be on October 24 from 11am-2pm. Ambler Main Street hosts multiple events throughout the year including a farmer's market several times a month and a first Friday of the month celebration.
