Nature topic for upcoming Temple events

The Ambler campus of Temple University has multiple events coming up that center on nature.

The Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association and the Delaware Valley Amateur Astronomers are working with the university to host an evening event of stargazing. Officials from the organizations will teach attendees how to find multiple celestial bodies and their most distinguishing features.

The event is part of Earthfest. Participants will meet on the field of the student parking house lot.

Also, the Arboretum at the Temple University Ambler Campus has at five trees with Champion status. Champion trees are one of the largest of their species in Pennsylvania. There may be more of their kind in the Arboretum, which have yet to be measured and classified.

Students, staff, faculty, and anyone in the public who wishes to join are invited to aid the university in taking measurements to classify Champion trees, and officials will help thenm do it correctly. Volunteers will also plant young trees.

The stargazing event will be on April 3, 7:30 to 9:30 and measuring the Arboretum trees will take place on April 24 from 9:00 am to noon. These events are going ahead at the time of writing, but check nearer the time for updates. Making use of poster printing to advertise events on a campus allows students a better opportunity to notice events happening at their school.
