The Ambler Farmers’ Market is scheduled to reopen this May, for another season of fresh produce and locally sourced goods.
The market is held on a weekly basis, as an opportunity for consumers to meet and interact with the farmers and artisans who produce their food. The selection varies week to week as the seasons change, but typically shoppers can find:
- Farm fresh produce harvested from local crops
- Sustainably cultivated meats from community butchers
- Chickens and eggs from neighboring pastures
- Pickles, jams, honey, pasta and cheeses from local artisans
- Wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages
- Natural skincare and beauty products
Many favorite market vendors will return once again this year, including the Back to Earth Compost Crew, Kara Jo Skin Care, Ridge Valley Farms, and Stone and Key Cellars. Information about vendors is available on the Farm to City website, but printing services may be used to produce Flyers and newsletters as well.
Farmers’ Market food coupons distributed to seniors and mothers enrolled in the Farmers Market Nutritional Program, can be redeemed at most of the farm-based vendors at the market. Cash, debit, and credit cards are also accepted.
The market reopens on Saturday May 1, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, reoccurring every Saturday until November. It is located next to the La Provence restaurant at 29 West Butler Pike. Details about special events happening each week at the market can be found on the Ambler Farmers' Market Facebook page.
